Hi, I don't know which side to go on as I can do both British and German. Is there a lookalike weapons list anywhere for this or is it just the CIA. Is there an ammo and fps limit also?

Hi matey,
The CIA list is the same as ours and you would be welcomed on either side. 600 rnds for automatic rifles except for support weapons that can carry 2000 rnds.
Fps are.

AEG 330
Support 370 engagement range 15m - must carry side arm
Single shot, bolt action rifles 370+ some engagement range 20m - must carry side arm.

hope this helps

This official answer was given to a group of German who came over to the UK the other day - I have put important bits in bold:

Dear Rolf
I am in receipt if your enquiry relating to the temporary importation of airsoft guns for use at an airsoft event to be held in the UK (Is this by any chance to be held at Copehill Down?)
Although the Violent Crime Reduction Act (VCRA) now prohibits the importation of realistic imitation firearms (airsoft guns are generally classified as realistic imitation firearms) there are certain exemptions which are permissible. One of these being exemptions will permit the temporary importation of airsoft guns for use at an organised airsoft/skirmishing event. Thus in the circumstances you mention I can confirm that it would be permissible for you as a German national to temporarily import your personal airsoft guns for use at an organised airsoft event to be held in the UK. No permit as such is issued to facilitate importation, however if challenged by UK Customs Officers at the time of importation I suggest you carry supporting documentation e.g. tickets/booking confirmations/receipts to evidence your proposed attendance at this specific event. Similarly I suggest you keep a copy of this e mail with you as it would enable any officers to contact me if need be, particularly as the VCRA is a very recent piece of legislation and that it is still subject to discussion on how best it can be implemented. Obviously your airsoft guns should be suitably packed and not openly carried, thereby only being accessed once you have arrived at your venue. Also if you wished it would be permissible for you to purchase/acquire another airsoft gun for your personal use at an organised airsoft event whilst in the UK (and its subsequent exportation) from a UK retailer although that decision would be the retailers alone. If challenged, a receipt should be retained to evidence its acquisition.
I trust this answers your questions but if you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely, Colin Buckley

Will we have those rather nifty radios which we had at Hurtgen. Loved it. Added a lot to the game play being able to communicate between squads.
And will there be somewhere to charge batteries?

Yes matey, too all. We will have the GMA Armoury which is a caravan set up with 4 fast charges and loads of other kit:)

All the radios are being overhauled this week and they will feature at the event.
